A new year!
Don't you just love fresh starts? I do. I love making resolutions and setting goals for the new year. Out with the old and what didn't work last year. In with the new systems! All I can say about 2013 is I MADE IT THROUGH! I made it through on little sleep as I had a baby, went through a near death experience with that baby just eight weeks later, and of course the after math of dealing with a child who is anaphylaxis to milk and allergic to soy, egg, and possibly wheat.I made it through 2 rounds of the stomach flu, so many colds I can't count, moving, learning how to balance and juggle life with 3 little ones.Oh and I promise we eat healthy around our house, but you know stress can lower that immune system more than anything.2013 sure had it's highs and lows, but I tell you I wouldn't trade the experience of this year for anything. I learned so much about myself. I toughened up!!! It wasn't always pretty, but I did my best to meet my family's needs on a daily basis. We started sharing and recording our resolutions for the year as a family in 2012. Sadie was almost 3 and Mia was 6. This year we had 2 previous years of resolutions to read over before me made new ones for 2014. It is amazing watching your kiddos faces light up as they realized they accomplished their goal for the year....learning to ride a bike or read. I record each family member's resolution and keep them in our family binder. We all unanimously made one for Wit.....SLEEP THROUGH THE NIGHT!!!I have several things on my list...getting up earlier....enjoying the moment even in the middle of the crazy.....and of course a BUNCH of redoes in our new home. All together it's shaping up to be a great year :)
