This is officially the earliest we have EVER decorated for Christmas! I mean like 2 weeks BEFORE Thanksgiving! Yikes! I wish I had the right emoji for that!!!! But it was the right thing to do this year, and here's why..... My kiddos like most kiddos love Christmas and we need a full 6 weeks to enjoy those blow ups in the front yard, and twinkling lights on our tree. AND when my sweet friends at Kids Dream sent me these AMAZING dresses for the girls, we had to turn on some Christmas music and do a . . .
What?!?!? It's been a whole year already! AHHHHHH! I truly can't believe my last baby is one tomorrow. It has been a bitter sweet transition leaving my baby years behind. My hubby got snipped so this really is the last one, and some days I am sad I will never hold a newborn again (at least not one I birthed), and some days I am ready to jump up and down with excitement for the next stage of mothering I am about to enter. Mothering babies is physically HARD. It's no joke the sleep deprivation, . . .
I fought it hard ya'll! Because in all honesty fall is not my favorite season to decorate for. Maybe it's the blazing hot Florida temps that rob us from actually experiencing fall like you see in the northeast, or maybe it's because deep down I just want to keep everything light, bright, and blue....sigh. So when I actually bite the bullet and start the decorating process, I try to spend as little money as possible. After Irma this year I was just so excited to be back in my own home with the AC on, I . . .
Hi friends! Well we are in the middle of Florida hurricane season, which means fall is around the corner. This year I am easing into my pumpkins. I decided to start first with changing out my throw pillows from navy blue for a more neutral pallet. Black and white, with natural wood, and live plant for a pop of color! All day everyday my friend! This fall I really want to continue my summer cozy minimalist vibe by only adding elements of fall that I really love, and elements that don't make my home feel . . .
Back to school always inspires me to get it together! Does it inspire you too? You know clean out the closet. Organize the pantry. And this year back to school is totally crazy because I have 2 daughters in school, and 3 little people still home with me, two of which I am homeschooling. Needless to say I really had to up my game to stay on top of it all. Staying organized with kids has always been a challenge, but now it's a must! Here are 6 simple ways I am staying organized this fall: I make a . . .
Sometimes the struggle is REAL friends! If you follow me on Instagram you know I recently went Target shopping for my daughters for fall. I tried my best to stay away from that stinkin home section, but you know.... Instantly I needed everything, and everything in my home had to GO! I took a deep breath and slowly (crying a little on the inside) pushed my cart past the amazing clearance home section, and told myself I could live another day without blowing my budget and chucking all my current decor. In . . .
Honestly I love to grocery shop.....when I am by myself. With 5 kids in tow? Not so much. So needless to say when I saw Walmart advertising their new free grocery pick up I had to investigate! And let me tell you friends it is LIFE CHANGING! I am serious! This is in no way a sponsored post. This is just me sharing the love with you. So here is how it works: You download the Walmart grocery app on your phone. Surprisingly the app is super easy to navigate and build your order. They have categories . . .
Today I had a win! This room was a total disaster this morning....paw patrol EVERYWHERE! My son Knox just turned 3 and quite honestly the toys after the birthday party were out of control. I thought I did a good job of going through my boy's toys before his birthday, but when I walked in this morning that was clearly not the case! Basically friends, to live simply in your kiddos room you have to get rid of the toys. Not all the toys, but you have to get rid of most of them. Let's face it, they don't play . . .
So when we moved into our home 3.5 years ago, it was 2 weeks before Christmas, I was pregnant, and I had 3 kids (one of which was a 9 months old). It was crazy to put it mildly, but I fell in love with our home the moment I stepped through the front door. The previous owners built the home as a model home and had it professionally decorated. It was pretty, but it wasn't my style. Here is what the kitchen looked like. And here it is today. So this is what I did: I painted the cabinets using . . .
Oh my goodness you guys I am so excited to share this post with you! Getting rid of the clutter really has changed me in so many ways! I feel lighter (even though there is still baby weight to loose). I feel more determined. I feel more focused. Most importantly I feel content. I have everything I need. Yes, it is always nice to get a new pair of shoes, but now I choose very wisely. Instead of shopping for the fun of it, I shop for items I actually need. I used to spend hours in the mall, buying things I really . . .
