How to decorate for fall on a budget
I fought it hard ya'll! Because in all honesty fall is not my favorite season to decorate for. Maybe it's the blazing hot Florida temps that rob us from actually experiencing fall like you see in the northeast, or maybe it's because deep down I just want to keep everything light, bright, and blue....sigh.So when I actually bite the bullet and start the decorating process, I try to spend as little money as possible. After Irma this year I was just so excited to be back in my own home with the AC on, I cranked up that AC to 65 for a little fall inspiration and pulled out the pumpkins! Here are 3 ways I decorate for fall on a budget:
- Shop Walmart, the Dollar Tree, and Goodwill for pumpkins. They really have some cute options and if you find a big huge ugly pumpkin in the right shape, snag that baby up and throw some spray paint on it!
- Use real stuff! Real fruit or herbs from my garden and pantry add some life and beauty to a table, and those herb smell yummy! I usually always stalk my grocery produce section for white pumpkins, and they will last me the whole season. Real also means no storage!!! WIN WIN people!
- Bring out neutral pillows and throws you already own to add warmth to your living room. I love a black and white pillow. In the summer I pair it with a blue one, in the fall it's perfect all on its own for Halloween, and at Christmas I add a red one with it and BAM same pillow 3 ways!
I would love to hear your budget fall decor secrets too!!!!Happy decorating!Marianne :)
