Simple, light, peaceful

SimpleLightPeacefulThese are the words that ran through my mind when I started updating our master bedroom. It is right off the family room so everyone sees it when they come over which means I can't leave it for another day. Plus I have come to realize it's important to feel good about the space where you lay your head at night. Here is a fun little reminder of the journey this room has taken over the past almost 2 years :)masterbforemaster3mafter8masterupdate2masterlightmasterlight2masterlight1There are a lot of little special things in this room....The frame with "somewhere over the rainbow.." held a baby painting my aunt made for me when I was born. This was also the first song Drew and I danced to at our wedding.masterupdate7masterupdate10masterupdate2The sewing table is my grandmothers. The print above it is our wedding program my mother-in-law had framed for us.masterupdate6masterupdateOver the summer I did a MAJOR 5 day straight purge of my ENTIRE house. Thanks to that week, this room all most always looks like this. FREE of CLUTTER!!!And it's amazing what an organized simple room does for a good night's sleep. :)masterupdate1Wall color - Pale Oak by Benjamin MooreShams - KholsWhite quilt - SteinmartTicking pillow - I made it to complement the chairNavy small pillow - Pier OnePlates - IkeaBed - Ashley furniture 12 years agoChair - you can see it's makeover HERE
