how to change your backsplash on a budget

So here is my backsplash before. It was new and modern, but it clashed with the colors in my home with it's green and brown tiles. As I started painting the cabinets, I really couldn't decide what to do about it. Ripping it out and putting in what I really wanted was not in the budget, but I couldn't live with it either.My awesome hubby suggested as I was whining to him about it, "why don't you just paint it?" HELLO!?!?! What a great idea! I of course paint everything anyway!A couple of coats of chalk paint in antique white later.....Pretty cool right!?!?!
