Welcome to the world

Tuesday July 29th was terribly hot! I took Mia to swimming that morning and at 9:30am it was 93 degrees!Maybe it was the heat or the running around that day, but whatever it was my contractions started right when we sat down for dinner, and by 11pm I told Drew it's time to head to the hospital.Little Knox was about to make his debut into the world.Oh what a wonderful and peaceful debut it was too. Since my labor with Wit lasted 2 hours and 38 minutes, I was prepared for this one to just about the same if not shorter. Wit came so fast the epidural did a whole lot of NOTHING as I cried and screamed like a baby bringing him into the world. So with Knox I made sure I got the epidural ASAP, and wow what a difference it made. I slept off and on as my contractions grew stronger through the night, and by 5am I was ready to push and felt no discomfort at all. I know some choose to experience childbirth naturally, but boy this was the way to go for me! Four or five pushes and he was out!8 pounds 1 ouncewelcomek1My biggest baby yet, he beat his brother in weight by 1 ounce.I so loved spending 48 hours with just him before I brought him home to our crazy train. What a sweet boy!His sisters and brother were over the moon excited to meet him for the 1st time.welcomekWit grew up in the 48 hours I was gone. He is still a mama's boy, but he learned to be so much more independent and has been GREAT with sharing mommy with his brother.welcomek2Our homecoming was wonderful.
