great days
These are some great days. When our mornings are full of sister/brother snuggles (brother with a sock in the mouth and car in hand). And I am so thankful that I get to be the one that greets them every morning. I get to be the one to fix them breakfast, and chat about the day ahead.I get to send them off the school with kisses, and spend the rest of my morning hanging with my little man.I get to be the one to kiss their booboos, teach them new words, see all their firsts, and laugh along with them as they discover the world.I get to be the one to pick them up from school everyday, help with homework, fix them a snack, and push them on the swing over and over again.I get to be the one who hears them playing T-Rex while I cook dinner. With Mia and Sadie I worked full-time when they were Wit's age, and I didn't always get to be the person who put them down for a nap everyday, or put them down for bed every night, or picked them up from preschool. I worked most Saturdays back then, and now I am so thankful for our lazy weekends. I find myself hanging on to every moment with them. I treasure the little things I missed in their 1st two years. Our life is simple. I work to keep it that way. Life is too short not to spend it together just enjoying each other. All too soon my house will be clean, decorated, and quiet. They will be grown, and I will miss their sweet presence, mess, and constant chatter.
