Life's a Party!
What week! My friends we have not stopped partying!Sadie turned 5 on the 11th...sniff sniff.....and thus began the fiesta or should I say fiestas! Here's our week's recap from birthday breakfast to Valentine's parties to the BIG Frozen themed party that wrapped it all up. Let me tell you this was by far the EASIEST and MOST FUN birthday for Sadie. I do admit I LOVE throwing parties, and in the past I got super carried away which ended with a stressed out mommy leading to not so happy kids. So this go around I really tried to keep it simple, and incorporate the elements of a party into Sadie's party that I know are really important to her. Here are my tips for a super easy and fun birthday from this year:Get a bounce house! Oh and they are tired of the regular bounce house....you better get a slide!Throw in a element of surprise...something you know they love! For us it was cotton candy.Ask your daughter what she would like to do at her party....Sadie says "FACE PAINTING"Keep the food simple. We grilled hamburgers and hot dogs, served chips, and cold drinks, EASY!Personalize your party with a homemade cake. When Sadie opened the fridge and saw her cake her face lit up with joy. Don't worry about making it perfect. Just listen to what they want it to look like, take a deep breath, hop on youtube for instructions, and I promise it makes you feel like Mom of the year :)I also held the party from 10:30am-12:30pm so people (we) had the rest of our Saturday to enjoy. I did this for Wit's party as well which was held inside and it was great because I only had to keep the house clean for a few hours that morning instead of picking up messes ALL DAY for a afternoon party. For Sadie's party we did the entire shindig outside. It happened to be perfect weather, and it was less mess for me to clean :)
