Summertime Scoop
Long gone I feel are the lazy days of summer. They are replaced by summer camps, swim lessons, Vacation Bible School, and trying to work in a little summer reading. With Wit being the high maintenance baby he is, I decided to make a conscience effort this year to bring back those lazy days of summer in an effort to keep my sanity. My number one rule....only one activity at a time, and if both girls can't do it together, then we don't do it at all. And by all means NO activities starting at 9am!!! I have a 5 month old baby who still doesn't sleep through the night for heaven's sake! Our 1st activity really is my favorite. Swimming lessons! I love seeing the girls have a great time, getting tons of exercise, and I end up with a little color on my skin from roasting in the 90% humidity 90 degree weather. However this year swimming lessons takes on a new challenge as Wit has terrible eczema flaring up in the hot humidity. So now we spend the 30 minutes in the nice cool air conditioned car burning the gas away.

Trying to keep Wit cool and dry! Poor baby!
With only one activity at a time we now have lots of time for READING and basically just hanging out around the house inventing fun new games as the girls watch their brother learn new tricks like trying to crawl at 5 months! I love the idea of the girls spending so much time together this summer to build and strengthen their relationship, because there is nothing like having a sister as your BEST FRIEND!
So here's to a summer filled with the simple things in life!!! I hope you are enjoying yours as much as we are!
