Well.....I turned 39 this year, so you know what that means!!!! The BIG 40 is right around the corner, and I know some of you are rolling your eyes, because the BIG 40 came and went for you, and you are happier now in your 40s or 50s than you were in your 30s, but I have to say turning 39 caught me off guard. I mean HOW DID THIS HAPPEN???? I feel 19! Ok maybe 29, but NOT almost 40! HOWEVER it is important to note that I felt 60 when I turned 35! So what happened to drastically change my physical and mental . . .
This is officially the earliest we have EVER decorated for Christmas! I mean like 2 weeks BEFORE Thanksgiving! Yikes! I wish I had the right emoji for that!!!! But it was the right thing to do this year, and here's why..... My kiddos like most kiddos love Christmas and we need a full 6 weeks to enjoy those blow ups in the front yard, and twinkling lights on our tree. AND when my sweet friends at Kids Dream sent me these AMAZING dresses for the girls, we had to turn on some Christmas music and do a . . .
What?!?!? It's been a whole year already! AHHHHHH! I truly can't believe my last baby is one tomorrow. It has been a bitter sweet transition leaving my baby years behind. My hubby got snipped so this really is the last one, and some days I am sad I will never hold a newborn again (at least not one I birthed), and some days I am ready to jump up and down with excitement for the next stage of mothering I am about to enter. Mothering babies is physically HARD. It's no joke the sleep deprivation, . . .
Hi friends! Well we are in the middle of Florida hurricane season, which means fall is around the corner. This year I am easing into my pumpkins. I decided to start first with changing out my throw pillows from navy blue for a more neutral pallet. Black and white, with natural wood, and live plant for a pop of color! All day everyday my friend! This fall I really want to continue my summer cozy minimalist vibe by only adding elements of fall that I really love, and elements that don't make my home feel . . .
What are you making for dinner tonight? Me? Well tonight I am going rouge and making what I feel like making in the moment instead of what is on my meal plan for the day. Do you ever do that? I do. I have a hard time sticking with the meal plan, because some days I just don't feel like eating the meal I've planned, and since I am the one making the dinner, I get to choose the meal. :) So tonight it's roasted chicken. It was easy. It looked pretty. It impressed my family. AND EVERYONE ATE THEIR DINNER . . .
It's funny things change over time. I once chose fresh french bread over chocolate any day. Diet coke over water! (That was a brilliant choice), and I swore red would always be my favorite color (so I painted it on walls throughout my house). We moved into our current home almost two years ago. I was in the process of lightening everything in our home and still trying to find my style. I spent house at night after the kids went to bed on the computer browsing blogs and pinterest in search of the perfect look . . .
So I decided to try something different in the 1/2 bath..... I'm not 100% sold on it. I was ready to paint these cabinets white, and at the last minute I changed my mind, and went with this grayish blue. What do you think? Should I paint them white or do you like it? Leave me a comment on the blog and let me know :) Happy HUMP day!!! . . .
Now that Knox is almost 10 weeks, we are starting to fall into a good rhythm, and I am trying to squeeze in a few projects here and there through out the week. First up.... the girl's bathroom. I took these before photos early in my pregnancy with Knox. The bathroom is a "Jack and Jill." Here is Sadie's side. The middle - shared space..... And into Mia's side So far I have wallpaper down (I HATE WALLPAPER!!!!!!!), cabinets painted, mirrors down, and a whole lot more to . . .
My aunt and sweat grandmother are visiting Florida soaking up some summer sun with my mom at the beach and invited us for a visit. And although I thought for a brief moment how much of a pain it would be to pack everyone up for the day, the sand that would be EVERYWHERE and follow us home, and the hot sun I would have to keep Wit out of due to his eczema which is flaring up right now so I can't put sunscreen on it. I decided to throw it all out the window and load up the kiddos with a good friend of mine and . . .
