Back to school always inspires me to get it together! Does it inspire you too? You know clean out the closet. Organize the pantry. And this year back to school is totally crazy because I have 2 daughters in school, and 3 little people still home with me, two of which I am homeschooling. Needless to say I really had to up my game to stay on top of it all. Staying organized with kids has always been a challenge, but now it's a must! Here are 6 simple ways I am staying organized this fall: I make a . . .
Honestly I love to grocery shop.....when I am by myself. With 5 kids in tow? Not so much. So needless to say when I saw Walmart advertising their new free grocery pick up I had to investigate! And let me tell you friends it is LIFE CHANGING! I am serious! This is in no way a sponsored post. This is just me sharing the love with you. So here is how it works: You download the Walmart grocery app on your phone. Surprisingly the app is super easy to navigate and build your order. They have categories . . .
Oh my goodness you guys I am so excited to share this post with you! Getting rid of the clutter really has changed me in so many ways! I feel lighter (even though there is still baby weight to loose). I feel more determined. I feel more focused. Most importantly I feel content. I have everything I need. Yes, it is always nice to get a new pair of shoes, but now I choose very wisely. Instead of shopping for the fun of it, I shop for items I actually need. I used to spend hours in the mall, buying things I really . . .
I'm so excited to bring you this new series Live Simply. I have found in my short 36 years on this earth that less is more, and cutting out the clutter really does make a difference. Cutting the clutter physically (our STUFF) leads to cutting the clutter mentally. Seriously I sleep better when I have LESS in my home. So I thought it would be fun to tackle different areas with you in my home and life where I choose to Live Simply. First up THE KITCHEN! This is what living simply in the kitchen means . . .
Hi friends! Thank you for all the sweet comments on baby Helen's room! I love hearing from all of you :) Today I wanted to share with ya'll how I make a 3 bedroom house, white couches, modern farmhouse, cozy minimalistic style work for our soon to be family of 7! Now if you stop by my house between the hours of 4pm and 8pm, you will see a true category 5 hurricane on any given evening, but by 8:30pm pillows are fluffed, back on the couch (from whatever fort they were a part of), counters cleared and . . .
Hi friends!!! Happy New Year....um a little late :) I have been working like a little busy bee around here. We moved the boys room upstairs and turned their old room into a family office/craft room.....HELLO I LOVE IT!!!! I was so motivated by this great idea to divide your home up over 12 months to organize and work on projects that I wasted no time in making my list! Up first in the month of January is my garage...uggggg!!!! But it must be done. Next month I'm moving on to remodeling the laundry . . .
Right before we put our house on the market our fridge died, and so we decided to splurge and get a french stainless steel amazing fridge. Then we sold the house, and of course the fridge went with it, and in our new house we were back to a side by side :( After 2 months of feeling totally unmotivated to organize it or get a gameplan, I had had enough. It was time to clean it out and get it organized. Here is what it looked like before AHHHH! First I took everything out, and wiped it . . .
I LOVE chalkboard labels, and I have them all over the place to mark storage in my house, but it drives me crazy when they start to wear. I found these super cool labels you use with a "chalk marker" from Etsy, and they are AWESOME! Here is the worn regular chalk label I ordered the labels and marker HERE And they are making their way to the pantry :) . . .
In my quest to purge and live with less....keeping only what we really need and use on a daily basis, I found this dark cabinet just waiting for my new mission. I LOVE baking, and I do it almost on a daily basis, but really, how many different baking pans do I need and USE????? . . .
I did it my friends!!! 33 items per season, LESS than 33 total shoes, and SOOOO much extra space in my closet. I my belly is HUGE, but I feel like I lost 10 pounds over the past few days as I purged the unwanted. So now it's onto the rest of my closets and cabinets. I think I am going to attack the kitchen next! Here is the BEFORE, which was AFTER I gave away over 1/2 my clothes when we moved 2 months ago! And here is the AFTER Also let me point out that I don't have a dresser....this is . . .
