Ok friends here is my disclaimer…..I am not a professional!!!!
If you are please skip this post as I am sure I will not live up to your expectations. 🙂
So with that said, here is how I redid this chair.
First I painted the chair with flat white paint I had laying around the house.
Then I used a walnut glaze. I wiped it everywhere with a rag, and then wiped it off again, leaving a little in the creases.
Finally I used a clear sealer so the paint would not chip.
Next I removed all the fabric and nail heads leaving the batting.
I used the old fabric as a template to cut my new fabric, one section at a time.
Using a stable gun I attached each piece I cut to the chair, careful to pull each piece as tightly as I could.
I used a simple trim to cover the staples instead of the nail head.
I applied it with a hot glue gun.
The project cost me less than $25 as I got my fabric and trim 50% off at Joann’s fabric.
Here it is again!
So don’t be afraid my friends! You can do it too!!! Be brave and give it a shot. I promise it really is that easy 🙂
Good luck!
